Maple Syrup POPCORN!!

POPCORN! A favourite cinema treat but have you ever thought about making your very own version? It’s SUPER easy and really fun to make, watching the kernels pop is one of the most satisfying things ever! Trust me, once you’ve given this a go you’ll be thinking of what flavour to try next… 😉

If you’re planning on snuggling up for a night in or if you’re simply in the mood for something sweet (the latter being me more often than I’d like to admit!) then Popcorn is the answer to your cravings! I like to think that popcorn is light puffed pieces of heavenly air – with a drizzle of whatever you would like – maple syrup being my favourite choice at the moment.


Popcorn makes a really great snack as well, especially if you’re looking for something healthier to nibble on during those afternoon lulls at work. The addition of maple syrup makes it less healthy yet MORE delicious but you can always leave it off – either way it’s popcorn and I am in love with making it right now.

I really do think that homemade popcorn, still warm from the pan, buttery and sweet is one of the BEST and super yummy creations. It’s quick, easy and you’ll have popcorn that’s better than anything you can buy in less than 5 minutes. What is not to love ❤



2tbsp popping corn

1tbsp vegetable oil

30g butter, melted

2tbsp maple syrup (or your favourite flavour, see some other suggestions at the end of the post!)


1 – Heat the oil in a deep pan (the pan needs to have a lid if you don’t want to try and catch the corn as it pops!)

2 – Add in the corn, put the lid on and shake the pan over the heat. Soon the corn will start to pop, it only takes about 1 minute. When the pops have slowed take the corn off the heat and transfer to a bowl.

3 – Mix the melted butter and syrup together and drizzle over the popcorn. Shake and stir so the corn is covered.

4 – ENJOY your homemade popcorn delights!
