Flourless Chocolate Brownies {Gluten Free}

Flourless Chocolate Brownies a.k.a. Gluten Free Brownies! I’ve been wanting to try out this recipe for a little while now, not only because a few of my friends are gluten free but because I wanted to see what they would be like compared to brownies I’ve made before. I’m a big fan of brownies, the ultimate chocolate indulgence – but what about the gluten free version?! …


Turns out they are even better!! They’re a lighter and more cake like brownie but they still have that recognisable fudgey and super chocolately taste – YUM! With a more cakey bake they are extra crumbly so you’ll have to work a little harder to eat every last crumb, but it’s so worth it! I’m definitely going to be making these flourless brownies again … I always feel like a clear indicator of the popularity of a bake is how long they last … these brownies didn’t even make it 24 hours before being polished off, which for me is so great as I love to share what I’ve made! ❤️


If you’re looking for a chocolate indulgence then look no further than these flourless chocolate brownies – super delicious you’ll probably (definitely!!) need more than one! A great sweet snack or a scrummy dessert – just warm through in the microwave and serve with ice cream or cream – utter heavenly bliss!


Brownie love to all you lovely bakers!

Ingredients

175g dark chocolate

175g unsalted butter

150g caster sugar

3 medium eggs

25g cocoa powder

1tsp gluten free baking powder

150g ground almonds

1tsp vanilla extract

20g white/milk chocolate – to decorate

Recipe

Preheat the oven to 170C and line an 8inch deep traybake tin.

1 – Melt the butter and chocolate together. Either in a bowl over a pan of simmering water or in the microwave with short blasts at a time. Stir in the sugar.

2 – Whisk in the eggs and vanilla extract – mix well. Fold in the baking powder, cocoa powder and ground almonds – mix until all combined.

3 – Bake in the prepared tin for 20 – 25 minutes or until the brownie doesn’t wobble in the centre and when poked with a skewer it comes out clean.

4 – Let the brownies completely cool before cutting into the desired sizes. To decorate melt the chocolate and drizzle over the top.
